What is Nutritional Medicine

 

Nutritional medicine is a modality that considers food and nutrients in relation to health and disease. It looks at the quality of food, preparation and macro and micronutrients needed by an individual at various stages of life.

 

A client’s medical history and symptoms and conducting basic naturopathic and conventional screening are used to diagnosis and determine the needs of the client. Individualised recommendations for dietary changes intended to support health, as well as a regimen of nutritional

supplements to correct clinical or functional deficiencies. Nutritionists can work with people at any stage of life and with a variety of illnesses, f.e.:
